WaterGod exists to give households clear, honest information about their water. We hold ourselves to the same standard with your data.
Your personal information stays with WaterGod. We don't run ads, we don't build profiles, and we don't share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your individual test results are private to your household.
When you book a test, we collect your name, address, email, and the water quality readings from your tap. If you subscribe to monthly monitoring, we also store your ongoing exposure scores. If you join our mailing list, we store your email address.
Your test results generate your household's exposure record - timestamped, versioned, and yours to keep.
We use anonymised, aggregate data from across our network to build the insights map - which shows exposure patterns grouped by area, not individual households - and to produce water quality datasets that help improve outcomes at a regional level. These datasets are provided to researchers, water companies, local authorities, and other organisations working on water quality. Personal or household-identifiable information is not included in these datasets.
This work - turning local testing into broader water quality intelligence - is central to WaterGod's mission and how we sustain the service.
We use your email to deliver your results and, where you've opted in, to share relevant local water quality updates.
Every test creates a structured exposure record for your home. You can request a copy of your data. Anonymised contributions to our aggregate datasets are retained as an ongoing part of the water quality record, helping to track long-term patterns across the watershed.
Your data is stored securely with access restricted to the WaterGod team. We take appropriate measures to protect the information entrusted to us.
